So if they are playing in an empty stadium tomorrow, now I really think they should have moved the Orioles game to one of the three O's minor league parks within 45 minutes of so of Camden Yards.

This is just a preview of sports 10 years from now when we're all too lazy to leave our houses to go to ballparks and have 300-inch virtual reality TV screens.

Or DC or Philly; both are out of town.

Why can't they just go back to Comiskey and declare the O's the home team?

I would think putting together a game day operations staff in Chicago (or at any other alternate venue) on such short notice would be tough.

You'd think one of those minor league parks, however, would be thrilled to do it.

I don't know how tough it would be. Didn't Cleveland move a game (or series) to neutral-site Milwaukee a few years ago?

Nice thought but too many logistical problems in getting minor league parks ready for a major league game.

Could be, but they depend on volunteers/part-timers to be ushers, ticket takers, vendors, etc., even more so than MLB parks do. Might not be able to get it together on such short-notice.

It's one baseball game in April. Big deal.

I suspect most if not all of their workforce would be willing to drop everything to work at a big league game.
