    Blackhawks over Wild in 6
Ducks over Flames in 5 (the NHL Network experts are picking the Jets over the Flames in 4).
    Lightning over Canadiens in 7
    Rangers over Capitals in 6.

Are you really this hurt that some people picked against your team?

Between this and the NHL treats Anaheim like a wasteland, I imagine your favourite NFL team is the Steelers.

Not hurt, just mocking them (how many times have I been told that I'm from California so I don't know anything hockey). One of the guys last night admitted that he picked the Jets because he is Canadian and had to stick with Canadian teams. And he gets paid for this analysis?? No, don't give the Steelers any special attention. Drop the puck.

Some of the buffoons they have on these panels should not be taken serious at anytime.

But I bet you are pleased with them now since I can't imagine anybody picking Calgary.

A proper analysis would lead to picking the Ducks over the Flames. Ditto Ducks over Jets, but that's not what we got. If the Ducks play the Rangers my analysis would be to tab the Rangers.

Ducks are trying to complete the sweep of Atlanta -- already knocking off the Thrashers and facing the Flames now.

The hockey analytics people are/were high on he Jets because they were proven to be a good puck possession team all season while the Ducks were less so. Also, the Ducks won an inordinate percentage of one-goal games this season. Analytics people frown on the sustainability of that. They were wrong, mostly because the Jets have hot garbage in goal.

Yeah, I've heard the "goal differential" argument all season. It's a bigger pile of crap than plus-minus. If I win 4 games 3-2 and lose one game 5-1, I'll take it, even with a zero goal differential. "Experts" bring up goal differential to make you think they're smarter than you are. They usually aren't.

Have hockey "analytics" people ever looked at a puck? Or for that matter, ice?

Rangers just lost on a Joel Ward goal with 1.3 seconds remaining in regulation. That hurts.

The most idiotic statement this site has seen.

There was a legitimate argument for the Jets. The Ducks led for for 11 minutes total for the first 3 games. There was no series in the first round that you couldn't make an argument for the lower placed team. Fanboys are the best.
