I see Budweiser, Old Milwaukee and Michelob Light. Those are definitely old-school brands that would qualify as your dad's or grandpa's beer.

Wasn't it Old Milwaukee Light, though?

If you run the numbers, 16 million barrels of Bud translates to something around 5.3 BILLION 12-oz. pours a year. It just strikes me as funny that one would consider that to be among the beers that nobody in the U.S. drinks anymore. Hyperbole, true, but pretty outlandish hyperbole to me, especially when you consider the other (much smaller relatively) beers that were on that list.

Then again, I haven't had a Budweiser in lord knows how long.

Did somebody say "Dated 90s beers"?

List I saw said regular Old Mil.

Those links follow different lists, and one of them also had the original Michelob.

I was in Baltimore for a concert a couple weeks ago and I found Red Dog in the can at one of the outdoor bars near the venue. I was stunned. So, naturally, I bought one. But just one.

I was in a bowling league a few years ago for some unknown reason, and Bud was the only beer I felt right drinking.

I think that list from The Atlantic had Bud listed on beers that nobody is drinking while simultaneously listing it as #2 among all beers consumed in the U.S. (Bud Light was #1.)

I'm shocked that many people drink Budweiser. Well before the microbrew craze, all I've ever heard about Budweiser is people bitching about it. In high school even, in the '90s, people called it "horse piss." My dad hated it, too.

Bud heavy gives me a raging headache.

Of the beers you sometimes have to just grab and drink, Bud is way better than Miller or Coors or any light version thereof.

I think that's true, too. I think there was a time when people, particularly new drinkers, figured that light beer represented how beer was supposed to taste, and that was that. I know that Three_Bags talked about how crisp and refreshing and well-made a frosty Miller Lite is, but it tastes like air even compared to an Old Style or PBR.
