I like twitter, but the constant references to it in news stories are becoming tedious.

She set records on twitter! She amassed a million followers on twitter even faster than President Obama!

Ugh. Enough already. That's not news and adds nothing to the story.

Don't forget trolling Twitter for the lowest common denominator, then publishing hateful tweets as if they're representative of society as a whole, or worthy of any attention at all.

I have been beating this drum on here for at least five years.

    Laziness in reporting, part 5,956.

This happened and regular people who have nothing directly to do with the story have opinions on it!

I think it's getting worse. It's like they must make a reference to social media in every single news story.

So what's the over-under of celebrities/athletes who tweet or say something they have to apologize for during the ESPYs?

Maybe ESPN should have Shelley Smith, Jim Kelly, Lauren Hill's teammates, Rebekah Gregory, Leah Still and Stuart Scott's daughters carry Caitlyn on to the stage Cleopatra style.

I'm sure ESPN is having Dave Grohl and Bette Midler commissioned to change the lyrics to "Hero" and "Wind Beneath My Wings" to reflect Caitlynn Jenner during her stage entrance.

I was just thinking this morning that I'm sure it's going to be a thunderous applause to end all thunderous applauses.

This disappoints YF, I know, but it's not something I have really been able to get into. I'll probably cry when the Supreme Court says that same sex marriage is a fundamental right. Bruce Jenner and this watershed moment for transsexuals? Just not moving my needle.

I realize that makes me a horrible person.

I'm with you. Don't get me wrong, I support Jenner's right to do whatever to become happy, but I think being honored at the ESPYs is overdoing it a smidge, which is what ESPN does best.
