Yep. This is exactly it. You can't get benched in the playoffs - and deservedly so - and win the Conn-Smythe. He was probably the Finals MVP, but that's not what the award is.

Duncan Keith just had one of the best playoffs a defenseman has ever had. It was an easy choice.

Makes shithead Ryan Kessler's comments about no human can take as many hits as the Ducks are laying him look even worse.

As far as analytical shams go, I would like to know what analytics were used. Pointing out that the Hawks have no D depth is about as basic an observation as there is. There are no analytics needed to come up with that.

All this analysis of my analysis is another analytic sham. All I said was the 4 Blackhawks defensemen played great. Everybody agrees on that. Why are y'all still analyzing it??

Just saw the Cup pass by from my office window. Very cool.

What class displayed by Kris Versteeg to bring the late equipment manager's boy on stage with him. Well done.

My son and I went to meet Versteeg a few months ago and get an autograph at a local card shop. It was toward the end of the signing, and he was a total class act. Spent all kinds of time with the group of people in front of us. Then sat and talked to my son and I about when he got his start in hockey, what it's like in Canada for young kids, and so forth.

The other night my son, who is 5, said while we were watching the game: "Do you think he remembers us!?"

For some reason, it struck me as such an adorable question for a kid to ask. (Because of course he doesn't.)

Anyway, 23 seems like a good, good dude.

What did he mean to say?

I'm sure he started off meaning to say "Coach Joel Quenneville," then decided mid-stream to switch to "Coach Q," but ended up with "Coach Jew."

So now you've seen the Stanley Cup, but you've never seen a gun.

Well, I've seen the Stanley Cup three times and counting.
