Generally a really poor show besides the decent but getting repetitive Cena/Owens promo and the finish. Lesnar as a monster, and a monster face at that, is going to be so much fun if his new deal has him around a lot more.

And my thoughts from the first NXT show I've ever been to.

It definitely won't be my last.

The Lakeland Armory isn't a big building, but the people that showed up, well there were more than a few of them forced to stand. Not a bad seat in the house really.

Pre-show meet and greet: Dana Brooke (who was sporting a nice shiner under her left eye) and BAMF (Blake, Alexa Bliss and Murphy). Blake and Murphy got booed coming out, pretty funny.

I got to see Uhaa Nation vs. Solomon Crowe. Man, Uhaa can fng fly. He did a standing moonsault and then a standing front flip (looked like it anyway) as a finisher. Very impressive. (On my way to the bathroom before the show, the wrestlers' "locker room" was to the right and this somewhat big dude stepped in front of me from a side door. Turned out it was Uhaa. I got to say hello to Crowe as well.)

6-woman Divas tag match: Carmella led her team (can't remember the other two) against Alexa Bliss, Jasmin another diva and the biggest woman I have ever seen personally, Lina Fenane, I think is her name. Apparently it was her debut. She's a monster. She makes Tamina look like a child. I'm not kidding. Alexa's team won by nefarious means.

Marcus Louis vs. Bull Dempsey: Bull's still doing the "No cardio" gimmick. Marcu Louis is doing his best impersonation of young Kane. Bull won with a top-rope splash of sorts.

Three-way tag dance: Enzo and Big Cass vs. Jason Jordan and Gable (can't remember his first name, the guy with the towel) vs. Blake and Murphy: No tag titles on the line, obviously. Crowd was red-hot for Enzo and Cass, who ended up with the win with a clean pin over B&M.

    Intermission

A debuting (at least to me) Braun Stowman (think Mike Knox) vs. Ty "Perfect 10" Dillinger: This Perfect 10 thing might work. Dillinger had come out after a few earlier matches and gives scores to the victor. He'd get up on a ladder in the entranceway and hand out the scores. He gets to the ring and flashes a Perfect 10 sign in Braun's face. He takes it and slings it to ringside but it flies and hits a fan in the face, glad they were paying attention. Then he takes another smaller sign from his back, under his shirt, puts it in Braun's face again and same thing. Then he takes a very small sign from his tights and Braun tries to snatch it again but Dillinger is too quick, leading to Braun just mauling him. Stowman looked good for what very well could've been his debut and he got the win.

Sasha Banks vs. (whoever wrestled Charlotte on the last NXT TV show) - I'm bad with names. Sasha got the win. She is so freaking good.

Bayley came out to do an in-ring interview and a mid-show meet and greet. She had a cast on her hand, saying Emma broke it. Lots of young girls in the stands wearing Bayley gear etc. Fantastic that she loves her fans so much too.

Surprise of the night for me: The Hype Bros (Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder) vs. two NXT jobbers (Sawyer was one of them): The Hype Bros got the win with a Rough Ryder off the shoulders of Rawley. This looks like it could work for both guys as Rawley has come back strong from the injury and Ryder just really needs anything with momentum at this point.

Main Event: Tyler Breeze vs. Baron Corbin: Pretty standard affair with Breeze getting the win after a Super Model Kick and a Beauty Shot. Good match.

My only complaint: If you're sitting on the corner seats, the house lights will be right in your eyes and it makes picture taking a bit of a pain. Anyway, I got my seat for next time already and am in the front row this time. Can't wait.

Got into a discussion today about the underratedness of "The Doctor of Style" Slick. His officiating of the Daniel Bryan-A.J. wedding is still funny stuff to me, even if he went into business for himself a little bit...

Tommy, sounds like you saw Savelina "Lina" Fanene, who's Samoan and related to the Rock in a minor way, according to the web. She played college hoops at Palomar College, and her billed height there was 5'11" - New Page 1 - A wonderfully old website.

"Neville, I'm going to call Gravity, I'm going to tell him about you!" - Xavier Woods, earning his money on the outside of the ring.

    She didn't look 5'11 LOL. She's a big girl.

Thanks. Wasn't sure if it was two back flips in a row or not, I was blinded by the house lighting in my seat

Thoughts on the new Tough Enough? Looks like they are trying to become The Voice, with a mix of taped and live segments, with it up to fan vote to see who's eliminated from the judges' picks. The difference, however, we actually get to see contestants on The Voice actually perform live and vote on them accordingly. Here, we're shown snippets that may or may not tell the whole story about someone and their performance. Of course, it's a reality show so they are going to try to create stories to tell.

A lot of technical issues to work through production-wise (especially on the live mics). I actually enjoyed the "postgame" show on the Network more ... Miz seems more comfortable as a host than Jericho. Of course, Miz is quite familiar with reality shows and how people are presented.

Tanner could be Seth Rollins' long lost twin. I'm wondering why the hell Dianna is even there (aside from the two obvious reasons).

I feel like the 6-7 wookie guy or the guy born in Egypt are the most likely future stars. I'm looking forward to when they get into some wrestling stuff rather than just physical fitness training. It's safe to assume most of the prospective people in developmental are in great/good shape. I'm having a hard time differentiating between the various women so I'm not really sure who the favorite is.

The tryout show they did on the Network (narrowing 40 finalists down to the 13 on the show) was pretty solid. One of the guys they chose got cut, it said, because he didn't meet all the WWEs criteria or something along those lines. Made me assume it was a "wellness" issue.

Apparently Jeff Jarrett showed up on IMPACT last night and will wrestle in a "King of the Mountain" match at Slammiversary. To what end, I have no idea. Doesn't make much sense for anyone involved.
