With gay marriage decided, what will be the next big left-led social change?

Would anything change if more Dems ran?

Would Biden, Warren, Gore, or Kerry bring down the average age, or add to the diversity of the field. (And, no, Warren's "Indian American lineage does not count.)

Funny how you shift from the real to the hypothetical once facing a point you can't handle. Why not simply answer my question. You don't have to admit your point was misleading. We can figure that bit out for ourselves.

Illegal immigration is a subject that the left would like to pretend that there is only one legitimate argument to make.

They don't even want to acknowledge that there are two sides to the issue.

And, if you gently raise the issue, that maybe we need to secure the border, and know who we are letting into the country, you get ignored.

So, if you're trump, and you want to bring actual attention to the issue, and you make a bombastic statement, designed to encourage debate, you get shouted down as a racist, and the points you try to make are ignored.

I'm genuinely curious ... what was the point of your question? Was it that given the small size of the Democratic field it's only natural that it might skew one way or the other?

Trump said that some of the illegal immigrants are murders and rapists. Now, he said it in his trademark bombastic way, which is/was designed to draw attention, but anyone who is looking to have an honest discussion on immigration knows he didn't say that all Mexicans are rapists or drug dealers.

I'm still waiting for any evidence of Rubio or Cuz's racism.

Innuendo of the kind you are engaging in is every bit as disgusting as racism.

You can't pretend to be appalled by Trump's statement, while doing the same thing in regards to Rubio and Cruz.

Cruz said he "saluted" Donald Trump for saying that. The message is that he believes that Mexico is filled with scary rapists, murders and drug dealers itching to sneak across the border.

I call that racist. You apparently disagree. It's a free country, I reckon.

I must have missed that. Someone saying that a whole country/(quasi-)ethnicity is nothing but rapists and drug dealers ... you certainly don't hear that everyday.

Ace knows what he really meant, and coincidentally his inside knowledge corresponds to his preconceived notions.

I don't understand.

I count, what, five, Dem candidates: Clinton, Sanders, Chafee, O'Malley, and Webb.

The Republicans have 14 announced candidates.

Now, the funny thing about percentages is that you can use them to compare different sized groups. The Dem field has a minority representation of 0%.

Now, maybe you want to say that the Dem sample size is not big enough. OK. Let's expand it. Let's include Dems who considered running, or who wanted to run, or who have been speculated about running. That will help, right?

Nope. All old white men or women.

Here is my feeling about "securing the border" and I'll get back to work.

We aren't talking about securing the Canadian border. So if you were a terrorist or criminal with any sense and a couple of bucks in your pocket, you'd probably slip in through Canada.

If "securing the border" means building a wall across the Mexican border, there is a percentage of racism in that.
