I find it curious that building trade unions are the whipping boy here but aren't the police and fire unions just as closed off and hasn't that been a "liberal/progressive" issue to open them up?

Seems like you have lots more cops and firemen jobs out there then say a "building tradesman" and they come with better pay, benefits and community prestige.

Asking why Republicans haven't addressed this is like asking why South Carolina Dems didn't lead on taking down the flag.

This is an issue the Dems could lead on. They choose not to for political reasons.

So, please, keep talking about broad issues. Talks is cheap. Desegregate the building trades now. That would make a real difference in the lives of African-Americans. These are good paying jobs, that don't require a college degree. They're exactly what the African-American community needs.
