Awesome. I love the ref in the corner around the 70th rotation, just standing there resting in the corner.
And is that Daniel Bryan and Luke Harper?

I was flipping through the TV last night and landed on Ring of Honor. Within about 5 seconds, the "This-is-awe-some" chants started.

Watching Bash at the Beach 1996, with the greatest heel turn to come.

Psycosis vs Rey was the opener. I miss seeing that style of wrestling on one of the big shows.

Awesome part to watch the second time - Bobby Heenan almost screwed over the whole thing, because Bischoff / WCW's creative at the time refused to give the announce team finishes.

Sad to think that if it happened today that heel turn would have surprised no one. If Hogan came down the aisle the way he did then, most people would just be EXPECTING a heel turn, logic be damned. I guess that's the ultimate legacy of those events.

The crazy thing was, he had experimented with a tweener role a few months earlier, getting rid of the red and yellow for a while.

True, but it's partially because Hogan turned way back when. That then dulled the impact when future turns, like Austin and Rock and Taker, happened in the WWE.

When was the last time there was a really good heel turn in WWE? They've been pretty telegraphed and underwhelming for a long time.

Maybe the Rock's first one. Or Vince's.

This amounts to a minor sliver of ancient history, but i wish they had pulled the trigger on a Eugene heel turn in which he revealed he was faking his mental issues or whatever you call them to sucker the fans.

I don't know. The closest thing to Hogan in the modern era is Cena, and if he were to pull something similar it'd be the same level of "Hollleee shit ..." moment. Assuming they were able to keep it under wraps, of course.
