He can't walk. In the worst-case scenario, they can hit him with the exclusive franchise tag. The Cowboys hold all the cards as long as they're willing to pay.

His threat to skip the opener is bullshit. They know he wants to play. It's Jerry and the Cowboys. There has to be drama.

The Cowboys originally wanted to get a deal done with Dez and franchise DeMarco Murray instead. But Dez fired his agent and talks broke down, and so Murray ended up walking.

    What a lovely man ...

Buffalo Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer was arrested early Sunday morning in Florida on a misdemeanor battery charge after allegedly punching a boy in the face and threatening to kill his family.

According to a statement released Sunday by the Walton County (Fla.) sheriff's office, Kromer and his son allegedly confronted three boys, who had been fishing on the beach, over the use of beach chairs.

Kromer, 48, has been accused of pushing one of the boys to the ground and punching him in the face after throwing the fishing pole into the water. Kromer allegedly then ordered that the chairs be returned to where they were found and told the boy that he would kill his family if he reported him to the police, according to the statement.

Greg Hardy suspension reduced to four games - NFL.com

The NFL reduced Greg Hardy's suspension from 10 games to four, but he still may take legal action against the league.

While the NFL has to be thrilled that the reduction has gotten so little attention, the threats of legal action cutting heavily into league authority have to be a real concern. There seems to be a lot of sentiment that Tom Brady won't accept any suspension and that the league could easily lose that one in court.

At this point, every player should go to court. I'm even disappointed that LeVeon Bell hasn't gone that route. After all, his crime was committed well before the new policy was in place, so there seems to be room to challenge the 3-game suspension even if it is all automatic based on the DWI and the possession charges.

Did I miss it, or is it just that nobody cares about the NFL Network Top 100 players for 2015? I'm the kind of football junkie who should love this kind of thing, but I don't even watch any more.

That's the worst. It's the Pro Bowl voting to the third power. I tried to watch the first one and couldn't make it past the second 10.
