Jozy has the target striker's build, but he rarely seems to be able to take the right touch. Johannsson hasn't shown it for me yet but he's probably the choice unless the Stanford Messi continues to improve.

Jozy out for the rest of the Gold Cup.

Sterling to City completed. Excellent business for Liverpool, but I'm not sure that they have the firepower to make a top 4 bid now, especially with all of the others getting better.

I just don't see it from Altidore, except in short bursts. Way too inconsistent. Looking to see what Julian Green will bring.

Soccer rules aren't my strong suit. I thought that was a weak penalty call at the end of the Mexico game. Announcers thought it was a weak penalty. What say you soccer SJ?

Which cartel had those refs in their pocket?

They were CONCACAFed. Horrible, horrible call.

There was some contact/tugging, but just a horrible dive.

The call was bad for three reasons ...

    1. The AR with a poor angle was the one who made the call. The ref went along with it, rather than waving it off.
    2. It happened in stoppage time of extra time. You should never play stoppage in that situation.
    3. The guy who drew the call should have been red carded for a two-legged scissor tackle earlier in ET.

Point No. 2 is so off the mark.

Inky, I completely agree with 2 and 3. But on 1, it looks like the AR had a better view given the length of the pass and the positioning of the players. He just blew it and the ref looks stupid trusting him.

If someone goes down with an ankle sprain or whatever and play stops for 5 minutes, no time should be added because it is extra time?
