Tony Atlas did/had some pretty cringe worthy stuff as well back in the day.

Speaking of mothers, hers actually cut a promo on WWE television during the 2008 presidential campaign. So did Obama and McCain. Maybe they were all pandering to the masses of illiterate troglodytes.

Didn't WWE have a big 'Get out and Vote' campaign, following what MTV did during the Clinton-Bush election?

Might have. I don't remember anything in 2000 or 2004 (I wasn't watching a lot in that time period, to be honest), but I know there was a lot going on with it in 2008. In fact, we got this abortion out of it. Kind of funny given today's events that "Hillary" comes out to Hogan's theme song. Someone needs to ask her if she supports his statements :)

My bad. That was actually just the introductions. Didn't realize it cut off before the match. Here's the rest of it.

Pretty sure I'd have no issue taking you down on just about any topic. Unless the topic were how to be an internet tough guy. Sadly, I'm not well versed in that regard but thanks for contributing!

They'd done it for a few presidential elections, although I don't recall if they've done it recently after Linda did her Senate races.

Usually what they'd do is have a few wrestlers attend each national convention, usually by what party they support. Foley did the Democrats, Rock did the Republicans (and tore down the house with a promo).

I remember in '08, when the three candidates did do their little speeches, with a catchphrase thrown in. Hillary did a Hogan catchphrase, Obama did a Rock one (and sounded a lot like him) and McCain did Flair's "To be the man ...", which wasn't just coincidental, as Flair is a huge Republican.

    I'd forgotten about that. Thankfully.

Just as bad is the Donald vs. Rosie O'Donnell one.
