The overall point remains the same: WWE has no business claiming the moral high ground on anything, with drug use at the top of the list and racism not far behind.

What kind of drugs? Steroids appear to be a given, but are these people capable of a roid rage influenced by pot?

Sheik and Duggan pulling rails in their outfits would be a great visual.

Chalk this up to *too* many roids though wouldn't be surprised if they were snorted out.

Ultimate Warrior was a madman in the best of ways. His apoplectic freakshow is pure entertainment value.

Concussions, painkillers, overworking, people being killed during matches...

... is a reason to hoark rails into the darkest hour of night?

That it was OK for Tatanka to dress like a Lakota since he's Lumbee.

What the hell is "championship material" in pro wrestling? After all, we're talking about a fake sport where the champions are picked in a board room, not in the ring. All it really takes to be champion material in pro wrestling is for Vince McMahon to decide you should be champion. If Vince McMahon believed an African American champion is what wrasslin fans wanted and what would be best for business then we'd have one.

Junkyard Dog should've held the belt for a stretch. Entertainment value.

That's true to a certain extent, but there's a pretty clear set of criteria you need to meet for Vince to even consider making you champion. Tons of people have the charisma, but not "the look." Tons of people have "the look," but not the wrestling ability. Tons of people have the wrestling ability but not the size or the right personality/character. Tons of people have all the tools and never get the opportunity. Etc. Etc.

But yes, all of that gets decided by Vince, and pretty much Vince alone.

That being said, there have been WAY more than 45 WWE champions in history. I'd bet there have been at least 30 in the last 20 years or so, unless we're pretending that the second top-tier championship didn't actually exist for more than a decade.
