Oh, I understand that, although, apparently, YF probably thinks I don't. But this is what the thread's about.

And I do happen to have an interest in animals and conservation, and have always had the same response to similar actions on the part of people involved with other species, among them plenty of animals that never had a name. What a ridiculous reason to which to attribute people's upset about this.

One of my bucket list goals is to go on safari with anti-poaching officials in Africa (yeah, not your typical bucket-list item, I know) , I've been known to start threads that concern big-game poaching around here, and as a life-long student of oceanography, marine biology and marine mammals in particular, I nearly died watching the movie, "The Cove" a few years ago.

As I said, such people can't be "shamed." But you can bet I'm going to blame them for whatever comes their way when they engage the pursuit they just "love."

I actually studied it in college, and seriously considered it as a career. I'm not kidding when I say it's been a life-long interest, and love.
