    That's a pretty wide stereotype.

Sorry. Should have included horse racing, offshore gambling, lotteries, fantasy sports and church picnics.

    My bad.

Jimmy Johnson's a bad ass prick then. And now that you're throwing in the horses, Jimmy's friend in Dallas, columnist and former ESPN talk show guru Randy Galloway, must have lost his job due to the horses.

I don't know if you are trolling or performing or what.

But to be clear, I was using gambling as an example of a legal activity that you might not want to publicize the level of your involvement if you are a businessman dealing with the public.

If you want to shoot a deer. Fine.

You want to play craps. Fine.

You want to pay $50,000 to shoot a lion in a setup hunt. What's wrong with you?

You are watering down the pain meds to sell the leftover in order to have casino money. What's wrong with you?

Trolling? I'm following discussions I happened to comment in at one point or another. If you see that as trolling or performing, then no wonder your take doesn't make sense. It's a stretch.
There's a lot of foreign hunts that are pricey. If he got bad information on the legalities, I'd say he overpaid. Doctors, lawyers and dentists as well as politicians do a lot of shit average people wouldn't do, simply out of affordability, legal or otherwise.

OK. Well, my point is all those things are legal.

All those things have their fans and detractors.

If you are in a business dealing with the public, you might not want to make such a big deal about how deep into your "hobby" you are, because some of your customoers might not approve.

Fine, but I don't think someone is crying "execute him!" for anyone who has spent a day at the blackjack table. Unless they were screwing up the table or a shyster dealer.

I don't think reaching for your wallet is a good reason to get shot by the police, but it happens.

Well, if you're black it happens.

I'm not defending the guy, but this is what I expect next:

Victimhood. He had a hobby. But then it became more than a hobby. An obsession.

His OCD raged. He became increasingly absorbed in lists, and adding to his list. And having a longer list than anyone else. And displaying objects on the walls.

His medications were not working. He had to have more! He participated in online forums. He met other hunters in Barnes & Nobles. He did strange things in cornfields.

His sickness worsened. He sought international opportunities, further reaching toward bottom without realizing it.

And then poor Cecil. The dentist's disease, far worse than periodontitis, had led him to rock bottom.

He's in counseling and undergoing a change in medications. But his condition, over which he was powerless, led him to be the true victim here.

His lawyers and PR team will help you understand that.
