Another solid episode last night. They haven't had a bad one IMO, seems like I'm in the minority on that opinion though.

The guy running for governor was in the crowd, so it looks like a lot of people chose to have the guy whacked. This fuck group is sort of like the mafia where if people think what you do will bring the group down, they will eliminate you.

My question is, and it probably won't be answered, is why was Vaughn's #2 man chosen for this and not him?

Vaughn has spoken a lot about wanting to become legitimate, even to his business partners on the freeway deal. However, the people doing the freeway deal seem even more lecherous than him.

I wouldn't expect a lot of answers, based on the resolution of the first season.
Things are much more arcane and muddled than the lead characters will be able to unravel.

Why not just kill Vaughn too? Seems like they left a loose end with nothing to lose, wounded and everything to gain by being a pain in the ass to the big boys. No show without him though

Glad to see the writers went to the bag of cliches for the finale (spoilers to follow if you haven't seen it). Even complete with a one-night stand leading to a love child and Vaughn getting left for dead in the desert.

It was average television at best.

You had to forget everything about middle school-level genetics to buy part of the ending.

    Not great, but not bad.

When Vaughn's wife told him in their final scene together "you can't act for shit," did anyone else laugh out loud?

The first seven episodes were pretty good and had my attention, but the finale was a big steaming turd that made everything else just look awful. I won't say it's the worst finale I've ever seen, but I can't remember the last time I watched a series finale that bad - and yes, I called it a series finale because next season will have a completely new set of characters and a different storyline.
