    LOL! /crossthread

Your "comparison" assumed that every statement I get about anything, ever, is unconfirmed speculation.

So, how many are we talking? What's the score? I know the "Kane was a perfect angel" camp has one (well, two, if you want to count yourself).

More deflecting. Is Kane a goalie? That would be fitting.

By the way, apparently, under New York state law, if a visibly intoxicated person is served at a bar and goes on to injure a third party later that night, the bar owner can be sued for damages.

    Imagine that...

But Kane wasn't acting drunk. I read the impartial witness observation.

Am I right that the main issue seems to be that the News wasn't clear enough about the owner's relationship with Kane?

If it were, do you run the quotes?

    Why not?

Because what he saw at the bar has absolutely zero to do with what happened at the house.

Unless "look how she was dressed" or "you could tell she wanted it" is cool. Which, I suppose, is cool in all too many circles.

If the bar owner had said Kane was acting like a drunken oaf who had to be asked to leave because he was harassing a woman, I'm sure MC and LTL would hew closely to their principled stance that these biased, speculative statements should be withheld from print, especially if the woman was a semi-regular customer who once had a party catered by them.
