    Hint: If something is "possibly false," it's "possibly true," too.

    If they didn't, I'll be the first to say they shouldn't have reported it.

    But you know as well as I do that anonymous sources are usually vetted more, not less, than any others.

    Possibly. This is why states and universities are passing affirmative consent laws.

    Not convinced. There was this one reporter I know at paper in a different city, but our paths crossed a few times, who kept getting burned by anonymous sources. He used them so often there was no way they were vetted. And apparently, the reporter didn't have the guts to out his sources for feeding him crap.
