Slut shaming in the Buffalo News?

I often admit when I'm wrong here. I'm not wrong, though.

I said: It's certainly possible she wasn't the accuser. You still go with that, with the concession, included, they the bar owner couldn't say for sure.

By the way, it's still quite possible that the accuser was the woman "hanging on Kane."

It certainly was the likeliest scenario. It was caveated. It still may be what occurred.

Remember: I was dead solid fucking stuck-it-a-foot-from-the pin about Jackie 10 minutes after the story came out.

I wouldn't be spiking footballs yet.

Do you have an "issue" with running it now ?

I don't remember that and there is no record of it.

Of course not, with all the changes I've discussed all along.

Again: the woman who was with Kane very well could have not wanted to go back to his house.

That's your only hope of coming out looking ok on this thread.

    Root hard for that.

I wasn't on the Jackie threads, but if you called that one early... Props. Good call.

You act like I said: "It was the same woman!"

I said it was likely enough to have been the same woman that you go with it. I'd go with it with that in mind. The story itself acknowledged it.

The Buffalo News id piecing together the hours before the alleged rape. He said this is what he observed.

    You go with it.

    Actually I take it back.

If the flirtatious woman had apprehension about going home with Kane, then the bar owner slut-shamed her for no good reason.

Either the wrong woman was slut-shamed, or the woman who was slut-shamed isn't a slut.

In either scenario, it's not your best thread, Dick.

Considering that I've stuck to the topic and didn't resort to potshots about what I imagine someone's reporting career must have been, I'd say it's been stronger for me than it has been for at least one other.

    "Slut shame."

    "Victim blame."

Any more cliches we want to construct an argument around?

I acknowledge, and have, that the bar owner used uncomfortable rhetoric. The answer is not to respond with the other side's uncomfortable, tired rhetoric.

    "Likely enough" ?

    Geez.

    Geez, what?

    I've said that all along.

What's changed? You make decisions based upon the information you have.

I'm sorry you concluded that the bar owner was "slut shaming" the accuser when he said flat-out that he couldn't say if it was her.
