Texting back and forth with a sympathetic reporter. Then asked a direct question about the birth certificate, and ... radio silence:

CNN's Don Lemon exchanged text messages with King on Wednesday night and asked him directly whether he was black or white.

"Initially, he did not answer but later referred to himself as biracial," Lemon said. "But then when I asked him if that's what it shows on his birth certificate I did not hear back from him. No answer on that."

Lemon, who last night "confirmed" the news that King was white, must have gotten quite a talking to from someone though, because he's on board with the new story:

I was away from this thread for about 8 hours. My first thought upon returning was, "Man, the Left must have been busy with the talking points email blasts. "

    OK.

Breitbart might turn out to be true, I guess. I'd take King's story at face value now. If we learn otherwise, I won't be shocked.

YF, if you've known any biracial people in your life, at all, those pictures would not surprise you and would not be evidence of much of anything in this story.

What kind of sheltered life do you think I've lived?

One that would lead you to think a child looks the same at age 6 as he/she does at age 14 or 18.

I looked black during junior high, Asian during high school.

He "realized" he was "likely" biracial:

In an interview with The Post, King said he and his mother discussed the identity of his father on Wednesday, the first time they had ever discussed the issue at length, and that she confirmed to him that his father was a black man. King said his mother was married and divorced several times, and raised him and several siblings largely as a single mother.

King said that he never knew who his biological father was, and realized at the age of 8 that he was likely biracial. He publicly identified as black throughout high school, and said by the time he went to college he “had honestly moved on from even wanting to know the details of who [his mother] slept with in January of 1979.”

King’s mother, a 64-year-old woman who lives in Kentucky, has not addressed the allegations publicly and could not be reached for comment. Attempts to reach Jeffrey Wayne King were also unsuccessful.

So, it just occurred to him that he was biracial, and then by high school, he began identifying as black.

This story differs from Rachel Dolezal how?

Wes Lowery really buttons up the details too. We now know that King's mother was marries and divorced "several times" and that he has "several siblings". We also know that his mother raised them "largely" as a single mother.

Can't ask for more details than that.

If #blacklivesmatter, doesn't logic dictate that this should be Shaun King's unabashed coming-out party and he'd unashamedly want to produce relevant documentation, beyond words, that proves his biraciality?

Short of that, get a fucking blood test and let conclusive result be the proof that allows you to spit in the face of the naysayers -- and you'd be the god of #blacklivesmatter.

Yet he refuses to do so.

He wants to be a leader but is just a hashtag hero.

If you're a journalist, you better be damn sure you're right about accusing someone of misrepresenting their race.

With the information out there, I'm not damn sure. I think a responsible editor wouldn't run this story yet.

Breitbart may turn out to be right, but it was irresponsible in publishing this story at this time.

Jeez, what does DNA have to do with anything. The mainstream media have already established that you can chose your sex regardless of your chromosomes.
Seriously the one drop rule has always been the standard for being black in America until Obama was elected. Then it was "he really isn't black because his mother is white, he's biracial."

Malcolm X had red hair and freckles.

Anyway unless he has had surgery, dude definitely has a black nose or either he is a descendant of Babe Ruth.
