Maybe they want to be able to say that at least Roethlisberger isn't the worst guy among their quarterbacks.

Tomlin has talked about this before when Vick was available. He really needs to get over his fascination with Vick. Aside from the baggage, Vick just isn't very good. Why take on a problem when Gradkowski is only out about four weeks?

  2. Vick > Gradkowski
Vick would be a capable backup. Not expecting him to lead the team. But if Roethlisberger misses 3,4 or 6 games, I'd rather have Vick than Gradkowski under center.
I say that now ... Check back with me if this actually happens and Vick sucks like a Dyson.

I'm also the guy who thought the Steelers should have looked at Ray Rice as a compliment to Bell.

I am not high on Landry Jones. He's not a No. 2 QB.

I don't think it matters who they have as their backup if Rapeliesbegrer goes down.

Vick is the Whitlock of the NFL.

Vick stinks. He had a brief run right after his time in jail when he decided to prepare like an NFL quarterback should, but that ended a while ago. A big part of being a backup quarterback is the drive to prepare as if you are a starter and I don't see Vick doing that. Gradkowski is far better suited to playing as a backup.

I'm not sold on Jones, either, but he did look better this preseason. None of these are great options, but Vick just isn't worth the trouble.

Why Your Team Sucks 2015: Pittsburgh Steelers

"I wonder if Big Ben is sitting at home relieved that he got all his alleged raping in under the wire. Imagine if he had faced those same accusations in 2015, with America slowly grasping the whole “Raping Is Bad” concept and Roger Goodell determined to hold military tribunals for every last player in football. You’d never see Big Ben again. Goodell would have locked him inside “the box.” Ol’ Ben timed his rape allegations PERFECTLY. Phew!"

"Any bar that has Steelers fans in it is a bar ruined."

This is your standard-bearer for the NFL, everyone. This supposedly the classiest organization in football. What a fucking load of shit. The Rooney family is garbage. The NFL trots them out on every possible occasion as exemplars of doing things the right way. Meanwhile, this franchise has been stuffed full of drugs for years. They employ a “cleaner” as head of security to whitewash any and all player misconduct. Roger Goodell jams a hand up Art Rooney’s ass any time he needs someone to vouch for dogshit like the Mueller Report. And then there’s the quote from Dan Rooney above. Fuck this family.

And fuck the fans who gladly ignore all this and try co-opt a bit of the Rooney sheen while being complete and utter pigs themselves.

"Mike Tomlin could win every Super Bowl 1000-0 from now until the day he dies and Steelers fans/closeted racists will still go on Facebook and demand they bring back “Bill Cower”."

So, they are basically the same as every other franchise in the NFL. They are just more successful than most, which I suspect is the real impetus for rants like yours.

With Bell suspended for two games, maybe they're looking at Vick for running back. Everyone knows he can't play quarterback, but he sure can run.

Not sure he can do that anymore.
