I'm still waiting to hear about the rash of fertilizer bombs being detonated in other Western nations.

We could save ourselves some time and cut-and-paste the posts from the last time we had this exact same discussion.

The dumb is flowing too quickly to end at 27.5 pages.

    Just a quick summary/rebuttal:

    * When I read someone's cry for why we all should watch a violent video, I first ask: "Is there any reason I should give the first shit what this person wants?" As usual, the answer is no.

    * The idea that we should be continually paranoid of anyone who might have ever been cross with someone else at a workplace is the stuff of third grade. But that's the world we're in now.

You would be well-served to care much less about the messenger and much more about the message.

Suspect identified in Va. shootings was an ‘unhappy man’

“Vesper was an unhappy man,” the general manager said. “We employed him as a reporter, and he had some talent in that respect, and some experience, although he had been out of the business for a while when we hired him here. He quickly became — gathered a reputation as someone who was difficult to work with.

“He was sort of looking out for people to say things that he could take offense to,” Marks recalled. “And eventually, after many incidents of his anger coming to the fore, we dismissed him. And he did not take that well. We had to call the police to escort him from the building.

“Since then — well, he then filed an action with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, in which he made all kinds of complaints. And there may have been one about Alison and/or Adam — I frankly don’t remember — but about members of the staff making racial comments. He was African American. And none of them could be corroborated by anyone. We think they were fabricated.

CNN still saying he's being treated for "life-threatening wounds."

I have always thought that video was more powerful than anything not on video, so this should move the needle much more than Sandy Hook or any of the theater or church shootings we have seen.

Oh, and fuck everyone trying to stop any form of gun regulation in this country. Fuck them all.

I hope the police had body cameras.
