A man with his ego wouldn't want to be leader of the free world?

He doesn't get paid by the hour.

His investments still pay off if he's president.

Bloomberg is worth more now than before he served 12 years as mayor of NYC.

But Trump doesn't want to be president.
He would expect to be worshipped as king.

    He already expects that.

If, 30 years ago, Trump had simply retired and invested in a generic index fund ... some cocktail-napkin ciphering suggests he'd be worth about twice what he claims he's worth now.

As far as the "Trump gets too much media" thing goes...

Trump gets media because he's willing to do media, and because he makes news.

Any candidate complaining about Trump should examine their own campaign.

Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio could do Meet the Press, This Week, Morning Joe, the Today Show etc. They could do all of the talk radio shows. But, for the most part they don't. They stick to the script. They play it safe. They stick to the issue of the day.

Right now, Trump is pretty much getting the attention he deserves.

I very much agree with this. A lot of candidates (hi, Hillary!*) spend much of their time ducking reporters and running at top speed from any situation in which they have to answer questions (other than possibly those from supporters). Trump isn't worried about that at all. He'll call radio shows unsolicited, just because he heard them say something he wants to comment on. He'll go on any TV show that wants him -- and they all do. He'll hold unscheduled press conferences just because people start asking him stuff.

The media has embraced Trump because he embraces the media -- even though he calls some of them names. Any candidate could do the same thing. They're just afraid to.

*Yes, I am well aware Hillary is not the only one who does that -- just the most prominent one.

We're still five months away from Iowa and New Hampshire. It's still the silly season. Let's wait until January and see if Trump fatigue starts setting in.

Congrats @LindseyGrahamSC. You just got 4 points in your home state of SC—far better than zero nationally. You’re only 26 pts behind me.

Donald Trump mocks Asians with broken English in speech

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump lampooned Asians during a campaign rally in Iowa, mocking them with broken English.

“Negotiating with Japan, negotiating with China,” Trump said during a Tuesday speech in Dubuque before folding his hands over his middle.

“When these people walk in the room, they don’t say, ‘Oh, hello! How’s the weather? It’s so beautiful outside. Isn’t it lovely? How are the Yankees doing? Oh they’re doing wonderful. Great,” Trump continued.

He put on an exaggerated scowl.

“They say, ‘We want deal!’” he bellowed.
