Yeah, I know.

 

So, not to get back on topic or anything but I just read this story on Alison's parents and their reaction to their daughter's death. It's sad that it takes something this extreme to get people to start caring about gun violence. I wonder, truly, how her dad felt about guns before his daughter was taken down by one.
He's making it his "life's mission" to end gun violence but is that really what it takes? For everyone to personally be harmed by guns to care?
Really tough to read this one. I can't imagine what he's going through. The photos of her as a child crush me.

Parents of slain reporter say country is not civilized

 

No. That person is dying because his/her body was incapable of sustaining life on its own. In other words, that person is dying of natural causes. And before you get to it, starvation is not a natural cause, so pulling the plug on a brain-dead person is not the same as pulling the feeding tube from a person who is not brain dead.

 

Ask Richard Martinez how that worked out for him. The gun lobby tore him to shreds within weeks for speaking out after his son was murdered.

 

Not everyone is as enlightened and caring as you are.

 

Sorry. Didn't realize having compassion and feeling bad about murder victims made me a bad person.
