Skins beat guy Michael Phillips nails it...

"The only team foolish enough to trade for RGIII with a $16 million option is the Redskins."

Also, RG3 working as the third QB at today's practice.

I almost posted that. Tweet of the day.

Just in time for football season, the trailer for "Concussion" has been released. Stars Will Smith as Dr. Bennet Omalu and Luke Wilson(!) as Roger Goodell:

Will Wyllie drag Phillips in for that tweet? In the Karl Swanson days, that would be worth an hour of haranguing about how the Skins are actually great in free agency.

I saw a guy this weekend who had just spent a week in D.C. He was complaining that the only thing he heard the whole week was RGIII blah-blah-blah.

And all I could think was "More, please!"

I've never rooted for or against the Skins my whole life, one of the teams I care the very least about either way, but I am addicted to this story.

Jim Plunkett and Rich Gannon seemed to work out well. I could probably think of a few more if I cared that much.

    Does Drew Brees count?

    Alex Smith?

o_t, you left out the "with a player this terrible" part. Neither Plunkett nor Gannon was terrible.

Before their fresh starts they were never as good as RGIII was in his rookie season.

Maybe RGIII is "this terrible," but surely there is someone out there who saw his rookie season and would love to try to uncover that again. Just not at the cost of $16 million.

He had knees during his rookie season.

He's cooked. He'll never be anything.

    Plunkett's 2 years with the 49ers:

    Passing: 254-491 (51.7 percent), 3,285 yards, 22 TD, 30 INTs

Team record of 11-15 with him as a starter, and released in the preseason in 1978.

    That's certainly not good.
