    Petraeus was a public figure. Murder victims' families are not. By taking that position, Petraeus knew he was in a public job. Murder victims' families don't ask to be put in the public spotlight.

    I don't understand.

    Guy takes extreme political stand. Those who oppose his political stance should do what, agree with him because he's suffered a personal tragedy?
