Below $2 most places here on the Central Gulf Coast.

Of course, I filled up for $2.12 on Tuesday right before it went down 15 cents.

$1.93 in Northwest Ohio today. Playing Roulette and hoping for a five cent dip for tomorrow.

Cheapest I saw today was $2.07. I was a little surprised it didn't go up after crude jumped $6 in two days last week. Normally oil companies jack it up on flimsier excuses.

My daughter went to Costco in Tustin today about 2 p.m. The gas area was closed with a sign that said they had sold out their allotment for the day. I've never heard of that happening before. Anybody else??

Ample supply, no spike in demand, no hurricanes, no dustups/phony crisis in the Middle East, declining price at the pump.

Perfect time for crude to take a $10 jump, for no reason whatsoever. Those big oil execs need the annual bonuses.

Yeah, I've heard of that happening ... in 1974.

I was finishing up college then and had to plan for the even-odd gas days and lining up at the gas station before it opened at, like, 6 a.m.
