Well, at least the family tree doesn't loop back on itself, as far as we know. So Kentucky is still one leg up on West Virginia.

'Old Redneck Hillbilly' Husband of Kim Davis Has a Warning for Nosey People

As protesters on both sides stood their ground around the Rowan County courthouse Tuesday morning, Davis arrived to check on his wife.

Davis says the couple have changed their phone number after receiving death threats. But when asked if he was afraid, Davis said he has faith… in the Second Amendment to the Constitution, guaranteeing the right to bear arms.

“I’m an old redneck hillbilly, that’s all I’ve got to say,” Davis told the Associated Press. “Don’t come knocking on my door.”

Davis compared his wife to the biblical figures Paul and Silas, sent to prison and rescued by God.

She certainly sounds like she has it all together.

  6. Maybe this has been answered already ...
Being found in contempt ... Is she personally responsible for the fines the court may impose or would those have to be paid out by her office and/or the county?
If the county/Clerk's office is responsible (and I suspect they are) Then, in turn, it would have to sue her personally to recover the fines?

If she objects to her new job requirements she should resign and a runoff election should be held.

But we all know that job comes with a sweet sweet guvmint pension and benefits.

This is about God alright, but not the one in the sky.

She'll make more through crowdfunding than she would working. If the pizza people got cash, she's gonna rake it in.

It will be fascinating to see how history judges figures like her.

It would seemingly help her that mainstream Christian churches are still almost uniformly, unabashedly opposed to same sex marriage. It is not my understanding that that was the case with segregation.

Your understanding of history seems to be a bit limited.

Research the history of the Southern Baptist Church.

My understanding of history is not necessarily limited.

I understand that there were some people, and probably some churches, that opposed integration on purported religious grounds.

However, I am asking if they uniformly, unabashedly did so, to the degree they do same sex marriage.

You gave me one example. That's barely even a start.
