Everyone should read My Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs.

The Old Testament stuff was a hoot as he explained how he threw stones at women in the park, as the Bible says whores must be stoned and carrying a stool around on the subway so he didn't have to share a seat with a woman who might be menstruating.

And yet few things here get people hotter under the collar than when I discuss telling my children that the Old Testament is mythology.

Not sure this is fair. At least in my neck of the woods, it happens a lot of other places. The only difference is the eligibility/transfer rules are different for private schools so they can get away with more. Don't think it has much to do with the religious aspect.

True. If you're a member of the Taliban. Jesus made the point over and over again of including those looked down upon by others.

I couldn't care less about her multiple marriages, her child out of wedlock or whatever other foibles she may have. To me this is pretty simple: If her her religious convictions keep her from doing her job ... her $80k a year job ... then she should step down. Go find a job that fits within your worldview.

She could become a journalist and do her job in a way that fits her worldview.
