Now that is stunning. Not that SMU can hang with Baylor -- that SMU can hang with anyone.

 

Coaches must have been busy covering up a rape at halftime.

 

SMU is decent. But the ponies really fucked up before half with a bad decision at the 3 in the dying seconds and didn't score a TD. Could've gone in tied then got the hall back first.

 

Boise State, once up 16-0 and leaving points on the table, now clinging to a six-point lead and just had a punt blocked by UDub.

 

Petersen has now lost more games at UW than he did during his first six years at Boise.

 

Boise should not be ranked.

 

As someone active in the Idaho sports media scene (I can hear you snickering, yeah, you in the corner), thank fucking god this week is over. Sick to death of Chris Petersen stories.

Quit watching before that. Suffered through 3 1/2 quarters, then finally had the smarts to wonder "Why am I watching such shitty football?"

 

SMU really let one get away. 3 yards away from the tying score just before half but get nothing as time runs out, squander the second-half-opening drive after making a little noise but drop a punt at the Baylor 3 ...

... and then Baylor goes 97 yards in a heartbeat or two to go up 35-21.

Then SMU's quarterback, who is decent, tweaks a leg or gets cramps and comes out and it all goes to hell from there.

But it was 28-21 with 5 minutes to go in the 3rd.

 

New SEC Nation analyst Greg McElroy clearly lacks the friend who will tell him "holy shit, you're gonna wear THAT?!?"
