    Louisville's outfits look like they came about in a compromise. One side wanted the cardinal, another wanted the L, another wanted them to be edgy and another likes Olde English L so much they used the font for the nameplates. Not a good look.

    There are so many things not to like on that field, I don't know where to start.

    Yes I do. Start with Petrino.

    Portland State, not even a good FCS school, is going to beat Wazzu. They are now 1-14 against Pac-12 teams on the road.

    Pac-12 teams have lost to Portland State, Northwestern, Boise State and Hawaii this weekend. And Arizona gave up 32 points to Texas-San Antonio.

    Wasn't Penn State supposed to be good?

    :eek::eek:

    The mutant anime birds finally have a touchdown, following Aubie's third interception.

    The Cats are coached by a guy who certainly pushes his team to be as physical as it can possibly be. They may not be the biggest bunch but I suspect a game against them could get pretty physical.

    Black Ron Zook.

    You're nitpicking. By power 5 standard, they aren't a particularly physical team. They are, understandably, a finesse team. Fitz realizes there aren't any Pat Fitzgeralds on his team.

    Stanford's calling card, for years, has been to be a big, strong, punch in the mouth team. With an undersized (relatively, to Stanford, Ohio State, Michigan State, etc), roster, thy beat Stanford at its own game today. They dominated the trenches. That was something you expected?

    Sorry, nobody lucks into three bowl trips at Vandy. Penn State's sanctions were designed to hurt for many years. Why be surprised now?

    Spare me. Penn State's "sanctions" didn't even live out their full term. Loss of 10 scholarships over two seasons with many kids eventually walking on and getting grants to offset the scholarship losses. That said, this genius couldn't even beat an awful Michigan team that had an injured QB last year. And Hackenberg has absolutely regressed under the guy. The folks who bitched that Bill O'Brien wasn't a Paterno ball washer are probably wishing he was still there about now.

    And let's not over look the fact that Franklin racked up a lot of those wins at Vandy when Tennessee, Auburn and Georgia were going through stretches of pure shit. He's not a bad coach but he's not great either. As I said, he's black Ron Zook. He'll get you to 8-4 against a schedule of boners and mediocrity, and he'll pump his fist the whole way, but don't expect much more.

    It's a miracle Louisville is hanging in this game, since their qb turns into hot buttered shit once every five plays.
