Davis really only has value if (when?) Charles gets hurt, otherwise I'll be sitting there in Week 5 with a dead roster spot. I figure Jones has a chance to start or at least get some meaningful carries.
    Right?

Eight-player league. No PPR, but screwy bonus structure for big game performances. And didn't mean to wind up with so many Bama players.

    QB - Andrew Luck
    WR - Randall Cobb
    WR - Amari Cooper
    WR - Golden Tate
    RB - Eddie Lacy
    RB - Melvin Gordon
    TE - Delanie Walker
    K - Adam Vinitari
    D - Arizona

Bench - Mark Ingram, LeGarrette Blount, Jarvis Landry, Steve Smith Sr., Marques Colston, Sam Bradford

I don't know why he'd start. It's not like Morris all of a sudden sucks. In fact, Morris might actually get a chance to rebound this year if the offense shows any semblance of life under Cousins.

You need to pick up Trent Richardson.

That's what I figured too, but I heard some chatter over the weekend that Jones had been very impressive in preseason and might push Morris for some carries before too long.
Sometimes, I think, we overthink this stuff too much.

Just to make you think a little more: The Redskins love Jones' punishing style, and Morris' production has gone steadily downward since his rookie season.

Frankly, I wouldn't touch either of them until I get some indication of what their roles will be (unless I had to).

Hey, guys, here's my first advice-seeking post of the season.

An autodraft gave me Greg Olsen and Vernon Davis at tight end. Available are: Zack Ertz, Jason Witten, Heath Miller, Richard Rodgers, Tyler Eifert, Kyle Rudolph, Ladarius Green and Larry Donnell. I'm not sold on Davis' rebirth and I'm thinking about ditching him for one of those guys. Or picking up Antonio Gates and stashing him until his suspension is over.

    Your thoughts are welcomed.

Grab Witten and stash Gates. See if you can trade Davis for a spare part.
Witten should get you through the first few weeks, then you can play him or Gates based on matchup.
I drafted Gronk in the first round, then picked up Gates somewhere like the 12th round. Once Gates comes back I'll probably play both every week.

That was the thing, was I kind of had to. Whenever my pick came up in that draft, there weren't any RBs I liked. I think Forte was there at No. 7, but I'd set my heart on Gronk at that spot, and then by the time I picked again around 14 or 15 the top shelf was picked clean. The run on RBs had also wound down, so I went with Megatron to get a top receiver before they were snatched up. Then Peyton was still there in the third round and was too good to pass up.
So it was Round 4 before the clock was ticking, I knew I needed to get somebody to fill that position, and Morris was the best available.

I always love the Yahoo rankings. You pretty much always pick the best available (according to them) and they still trash your draft.

How many tight ends do you start? You're not running any of those jamokes out there ahead of Olsen. Drop Davis and pick up a lottery-ticket running back.
