    You're adhering to the law.
    So what?

Notice I said "treated equally under the law".

Everyone who scores below that certain level isn't admitted. They are being treated equally. It's not like some who score below that level are admitted because they are perceived to be a member of a favored class, while others are not, just due to how they were born.

You remind me of those "religious freedom" whiners in Indiana who kept saying "So does a Jewish bakery have to bake a cake with bacon on it?" Um, no, they don't have to bake a bacon cake as long as they don't bake one for anyone. But if they did for one group, then they would have to bake one for any customer.

    See? #nuance

I certainly don't think she should be permitted to do it.

But I don't think she's necessarily a bigot. She might be. But she isn't necessarily one.

All gays are being treated equally by Kim Davis.

THIS. I typed about 300 words on this, but you posted this first and it's much better and succinct than what I did, so I will defer.

Just because Davis believes her imaginary friend in the sky authorizes her bigotry doesn't mean she isn't a bigot.

It's not that she "(doesn't) like who they're screwing." It's that she likely has a sincere belief that it's a mortal sin, and that she would be countenancing it by issuing the license.

If you accept that as true - and she certainly believes it - then what's unfair about her position? It's quite reasonable.

I think her own words and actions have pretty well painted the picture that she is, in fact, a bigot. I don't really see any way around it, given what she has said and done.

Ahem ... You might want to re-think this one.

Is nuance short for "I'm attempting a shallow and inaccurate mis-direct"?

I don't know if Kim Davis is a bigot.

I DO know she's a fucking clueless moron, though. So are her "supporters."

She's not "oppressed" just because she can't institute Christianity's version of Sharia Law here.

She's not treating them equally compared to heterosexual couples.

Correct. Just as the LSAT takers aren't being treated equally to the high scorers.
