Dick keeps saying the reason why she is not a bigot is because she sincerely believes homosexuality is a sin. People used to sincerely believe blacks were inferior, even had science on their side. We now call those people bigots just as we should call her actions bigoted now. Better?

She says she can not violate her conscience to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, but she wants to continue to perform her duties of issuing marriage licenses. In other words, she wishes to be allowed to issue marriage licenses only to opposite-sex couples. So, yes, I suppose I do have a point. Thanks for noticing. :D

No, I don't believe everyone is treated equally under the total admissions criteria, but I wasn't applying my posts to the total admissions criteria. I was just using your LSAT post as the criteria for equality.

And I would like some salsa with my arguendo.

Would you hold the same position - that she's not a bigot - if she held a sincere belief, based on her understanding of the Bible and the teachings of her religious leaders, that interracial marriage was a sin proscribed by the Bible?

She wants to. She doesn't. (Showing restraint that liberals never show.) You have no point.

I can point out what homosexual behavior is. Can you please point out what "black" behavior is?

Huckabee was on "Morning Joe" and was asked if he'd support a clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses for second or third marriages, because Jesus. He said that's different because "there are laws" that allow people to get divorced.

Does Kim Davis have a sincerely held religious belief that heterosexual couples should not be allowed to marry because homosexuality is a sin? Or is she trampling on the rights of all of the constituents in her county, including those who voted her into office, by not authorizing any marriages?

This may be the only place on the planet where sexual preference and law-school admission is being treated as an apples-to-apples comparison.

Being gay isn't a behavior. It's who they are genetically.
