    LOL.

How much is running a government like making movies?

Obama was a State Senator before landing in the US Senate, where he was for about a day and a half before he began running for President.

If you think being an Illinois State Senator prepares you for anything but becoming a lobbyist, or a criminal, we don't think the same.

What's Clooney's resume? He's done what, testified before congress?

Reagan was at least a union president.

Clooney has been a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations for almost a decade, I believe.

I love how this is covered.

If a Republican goes and speaks at Liberty or Bob Jones University, the media has a heart attack. Their very appearance before this audience indicates that the candidate endorses every policy of the college.

But, if Sanders speaks to the same group, it's celebrated.

Similarly, if a Republican is a committed Christian, it's mocked. They're clearly rubes, who don't believe in science.

Yet, Hillary Clinton spoke at a Church this weekend, and we were told about how her faith informs us. For Democrats, faith is a beautiful thing, and should be celebrated.

Katy Perry is a UNICEF Global Ambassador. Nice post to get if you have the cash and the fame.

He's been designated a UN Messenger of Peace since 2008, along with such other government/policy heavyweights as Yo Yo Ma and Michael Douglas. Former designees include Muhammad Ali, Luciano Pavarotti and Wynton Marsalis.

    Top that shit, Ronaldus Maximus!

They aren't mocked as rubes who don't believe in science because they're "committed Christian(s)."

This is leading to a really big mess for the GOP movers and shakers to clean up. Assuming they will be united at some point down the road against a Trump candidacy, they will need to coalesce around one of their non-extremists without (and this is the tricky part) enraging the lunatic fringe they will need just to get over 40 percent. Cleveland could be very entertaining.

But I don't think those are the Trump people, necessarily.

I'd say about 95 percent. So-called "Reagan Democrats" are pretty much extinct. The disaffected ignorant people have new labels.

If that's the case, I can't figure these people out. For years they've put these candidates through a litmus gauntlet on certain issues. Trump basically passes one - immigration. He's a proponent of gay marriage, I believe, or at least indifferent to it, and thought Kim Davis needed to do her job.

    I don't get it.

They'll sort it out in the primaries. They always do. The factions within the GOP have not changed.

I suspect it will not be Trump, but whoever it is that emerges, the party will fall in line, holding its nose if need be just like it did for McCain and Romney.
