It's not so much being against illegal immigration is racist as it is saying that Mexico is sending "people that have lots of problems. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists." That's where the racism comes in. But, of course, you knew that.

No, but there weren't roughly 500 people in the race a year ago, either.
Eventually, people's money will start drying up and they'll drop out. Perry was the first one. It'll eventually happen to others. And I just question when it does, how much of that support goes to Trump.
I think Trump keeps up fairly good numbers. I think some of his support now is a bit of a bandwagon effect, which will diminish some as the field narrows and Rubio-mentum or Jeb-mentum or Whoever'sleftstanding-mentum becomes more of a story (my money's on Rubio. But who knows). But a lot will stay. I just don't know that he grows from here.
I can tell a story where Trump makes it to the finish line. I just don't consider it a very probable outcome at this juncture.

And of course, we should all acknowledge that we're basically speculating about the outcome of a football game right after the coin toss. Which is why I'm limiting my probability assessment to "at this juncture."

At this exact point four years ago, Rick Perry was in his second month atop the polls and consistently hitting the mid-30s to the mid-40s. By the end of the first week of October, he was in single digits.

I think the reason that people are starting to wonder if Trump has staying power is that nothing seems to stop his momentum. Perry made one mistake, not being able to name three federal agencies, and he was sunk. Trump makes blunder after blunder, and none of it touches him. If he's done it, it'll be because another candidate is ascendant. Probably Carson or Fiorina.

That's what makes me think people aren't paying attention and just going with the loud noises. P

Plus, there are a lot of hateful and belligerent assholes in this country, and Trump being one on such a big stage, in their minds, enables them to do the same.

Don't forget Asshole isn't giving up on the birther stuff (he's one of the very last in major politics to hang onto it, at least publicly) and he's jumping onto the anti-BLM bandwagon with both feet too, just in case the n****ers forgot he hates them too.

    1. Just get 'em behind closed doors sometime.

    2. They really mean it; I don't.
