So Carson bears some of the responsibility for his intelligence being dismissed because John McCain downplayed his academic performance?

    Is Carson's intelligence being "dismissed"?

    Isn't intelligence kind of situation-specific?

It's perfectly reasonable that he's a brilliant doctor who doesn't understand geopolitics, isn't it?

We have another John McCain situation brewing, where you have to preface every criticism of a candidate with what an admirable job he did in some other walk of life.

What does understanding geopolitics have to do with being president?

As a lifelong registered Republican, these are the best we have to offer?

Of course that's a reasonable position.

I'm not sure that's what MC is saying when he rips him.

    Oh please.

Look, John McCain is a big boy, and Trump is actually right when he objects to the idea that you can't criticize him because of his war hero status -- even if he said it terribly.

But, the left is responsible for this kind of thing.

You can't criticize anything to do with Islam with out first proclaiming it to be a great religion, one of peace, that has been woven into the fabric of America since it's founding.

The same goes for every protected class that the left infantilizes.

I would be completely comfortable with the following match-ups:

    • Clinton vs. Rubio.
    • Clinton vs. Bush.
    • Biden vs. Rubio.
    • Biden vs. Bush.
I don't know enough about Bernie Sanders yet to know whether he makes me comfortable or not. I didn't think he was a factor until recently.

Who was the Mormon Republican with the hot daughters last time? Why isn't that guy running again? I liked him.

That's just a P.R. tactic and always has been.

    MC's dream candidate? Huntsman?

    Because he has no constituency.

Like the myth of vaccine overload.
He also said he believes certain vaccine-preventable diseases can't kill you.
He also said prison rape is proof that homosexuality is a choice.
He also believes the Earth is 6,000 years old.

He reminds me of, say, a piano virtuoso. Can play the piano better than anyone on Earth, but can't spell "cat" if you spotted him the c and the t.

Where do you get this idea that I'm a huge Hillary supporter? I submit that ANYONE who disregards the facts behind a hugely important public health issue for political expedience is a fucking moron.

You mean the guy who spent a year focused solely on growing the 8 percent he got in one state? Sign me up!

YF, when the Repugs don't rally around the "smart guy,' who do you blame?

    Obama, Clinton or Clinton?
