Who are the victims of terrorism on U.S. soil during the Obama administration? The Boston Marathon victims, right? And the Marine recruiters?

    Who else?

    Fort Hood comes to mind.

Oh, wait, that was workplace violence. Silly me.

OK. I was thinking that was under Bush. But now I remember the "workplace violence" controversy. W. would've invaded Egypt or Qatar.

The media are wetting their pants this morning, and Hillary is egging them on:

What's left out of these stories?

In case you were growing tired of fights over NAFTA , lofty rhetoric , and debates , the Democrats have a new spat du jour for you. Today, the Drudge Report posted a big, fat headline that howled, "Clinton staffers circulate 'dressed’ Obama." Accompanying the headline was a picture of Obama on a diplomatic trip to Kenya in 2006, wearing some type of traditional dress of the area—complete with a turban-looking headdress.
    ...
Then, at 10:54 a.m., Clinton’s campaign manager, Maggie Williams, pierced the quiet with her own release . "Enough," she wrote. "If Barack Obama's campaign wants to suggest that a photo of him wearing traditional Somali clothing is divisive, they should be ashamed. Hillary Clinton has worn the traditional clothing of countries she has visited and had those photos published widely." She goes on to say Obama is trying to "distract from the serious issues." Note that they never refuted Drudge’s piece. (More detail on that piece of the story is trickling in .)

Let’s take a moment to review: Obama’s campaign thinks Clinton is trying to be divisive by encouraging the Obama-is-a-Muslim myth. Clinton’s campaign thinks the Obama campaign is being divisive because it thinks Clinton’s campaign is being divisive.

Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign on Sunday requested the resignation of a second Iowa volunteer coordinator who forwarded a hoax e-mail saying Barack Obama is a Muslim possibly intent on destroying the United States.

Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ and says he has never been a Muslim, but false rumors attempting to tie him to Islamic jihadists are circulating on the Internet.

"Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential Candidacy," read the e-mail. "Please forward to everyone you know. The Muslims have said they Plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at The highest level."

The Clinton campaign has decried the rumors as offensive and outrageous, and last week forced volunteer Jones County coordinator Judy Rose to resign after learning that she forwarded a such an e-mail on Nov. 21. But it turns out Rose wasn't the only one.

Linda Olson, a volunteer coordinator in Iowa County, had forwarded a similar version on Oct. 5, without comment, to 11 people. One of the recipients was Ben Young, a regional field director for Democrat Chris Dodd's campaign, who provided a copy to The Associated Press on Sunday.

The Clinton campaign responded by asking for Olson's resignation.

Getting a little testy at the GOP get-together at Mackinac Island. Apparently Rubio's national campaign manager punched Rand Paul's national political director last night at a place called Horns Bar.

Punch thrown as GOP Mackinac confab begins

John Yob, a Grand Rapids political consultant who is national political director and chief Michigan strategist for the Rand Paul campaign, said on Facebook Friday morning that he was punched in the face inside the bar by Rich Beeson, who is deputy campaign manager for Rubio, a Florida senator.

"I ran into a guy named Rich Beeson, who frankly I didn't even know who it was at first because he isn't relevant in our political world," Yob said. "He literally physically assaulted me by punching me in the face. The state police are looking for him. I have it on video, from multiple angles. This will play out in the national media in the next few hours."

I'm pretty sure the national media will be interested in Donald Trump's take on this.

Trump is the total symbol of our three leg sys of governance running itself from third base into inconsequensality. The merge of US national politics with entertainment media coalesced with Reagan. Both Trump and Reagan started in common-man democratic party politics but quickly switched, not when they sniffed out the real money in politics, but more importantly, when they sniffed out where voter minds were most excitable by media slogans, code words, and imaging and that equation turned straight right to conservative voters (not a slight, I like many of 'em). I doubt Trump is interested in ring kissing. I'm not sure how much he wants to win this election. But I know that he takes seriously 'the sell'. At this point I'm most interested in watching the buyers.

I hope it was over a taffy vs. fudge debate. Or that someone stole the other's tandem bicycle.
