If she's going to put it all out there like that, just be a webcam girl. She'd get paid and then could blog about it for free.

Who in their right fucking mind is intimidated and/or extraordinarily turned on by a newspaper editor?

Seriously? Not sure which would be more puzzling, that you're intimidated by an editor or extremely turned on.

No, I'm saying most people would be extremely turned on by me. :)

Well if she was as interesting on her dates as she was in that piece - I'm sure most of the men she dated ran out the door before dinner was served. I couldn't even make it through four paragraphs without completely losing interest and by the 6th paragraph I was in pain and had to quit reading.

And, if you don't like paying off the debt you agreed upon, you can just default on it and write a blog about why it was the better choice for you.

    tl;dr version

"I was sick of being poor. So I took a job that would make me not poor. Turns out I'd rather be poor than go to work. FML"

I don't know. The column is self-serving drivel, but I can empathize with being hired and put in charge of fossils who can't and won't ever adapt.
