    Hamburg police:

“In regard to the information conveyed today by Mr. Thomas Eoannou, the Hamburg Police Department will cooperate with any authorized investigation regarding the handling of evidence and the procedure of such.”

It continued: “That said, The Hamburg Police Department has documentation that unequivocally demonstrates that it’s handling of the evidence and the integrity of it’s chain of custody of evidence in this case is unassailable. As is policy with active investigations, there will be no further comment regarding this situation.”

I automatically discredit them for improper use of it's.

I guess it's pretty safe to say at this point that Patrick Kane isn't going to be charged with rape or anything else, no?

    Yeah that's pretty obvious.

    His life remains ruined, though.

If it can be determined that the bag the accuser's lawyer has is the one that held the rape kit that was administered, doesn't that prove by itself that the PD screwed this one up and didn't handle the evidence correctly?

I can't figure out why an accuser or her mother or her lawyer would ever possess that.

A case where consent is the issue doesn't necessarily need DNA evidence.

He said the bag had the accuser's name and date of birth on it, as well as the location where the kit was administered, and the names of the two nurses who administered it. Seems credible to me. So, yeah, the police are supposed to have it and don't. Pretty cut and dry.

I would hope not. Otherwise, every would-be rapist now has a blue print to exoneration.

Just think how hard Blackhawks fans will be on their precious Kaner.

What has he been convicted of, again?

It's sports fans in general. Blaming specific fan bases is wrong, they are all morons.

I'm not sure why they are supposed to be hard on him at this point. He hasn't been convicted. He hasn't been charged. There isn't a shred of evidence, apparently, that he did this. Did he? I don't know. She says he did. He says he didn't.
