The grantland NFL guys (Barnwell and ??) just coincidentally started talking Draft Kings daily fantasy on their NFL podcast last week.

 

Well, if they're reading ads for the sites and not getting paid, that's on them.

 

That makes sense since it is gambling.

 

And now a product placement inside tonight's episode of The League.

 

As much hypocrisy as there is in college sports, it would make them look even worse if they lecture "amateur" athletes on gambling in one breath, then take ad advertising money from a gambling site.

 

Yeah it would seem they shouldn't be able to have it both ways.

That's a fascinating article recapping an article that was a couple of weeks old.

There is nothing new in that piece.

 

Is there any chance that all the money they are spending on these ads is actually hurting the brand? Probably not, but damn, do people (including me) hate the volume of the ads.

 

Watching the FOX Pregame Show, Menefee said:

"The following 10 minutes are brought to you commercial-free by Draft Kings."

That's a freaking D-block in TV ! Those 10 minutes would've been commercial-free anyway !!!!

Draft Kings is just mocking us now.

They're sitting there among their mounds of cash going, "These fools."
