I suspect a lot of you guys immensely enjoyed watching the Little League World Series, where they sprint to the dugout after striking out.

Did you see the play? He ran out a fly ball to left until he touched first base. This wasn't like he trotted backwards on a 6-3 grounder.

Again, Papelbon was in the wrong. All his teammates said that. He shouldn't have said anything. If there WAS anything wrong, it was to Matt Williams to address it. But Matt Williams doesn't address things. He just gets red-faced and shuts his clubhouse door.

Awesomeness: When a bunch of guys who get winded eating a hot dog complain about lack of hustle.

Harper probably should have trotted toward first base*. Papelbon definitely should have kept his fucking mouth shut.

    *I'm assuming he didn't.

Harper is batting .336 with 41 home runs this year. Just imagine how good he'd be if he tried.

Let's be honest, this didn't even really have to do with Harper not running to first. It's all a carryover from Papelbon being an asshole and plunking Machado the other day.

If this is dogging it, I've seen a helluva lot worse.

I've never had a problem with employees working hard. I do have a problem when they work hard, are productive and profitable for the business, and aren't rewarded for their work with anything other than a pink slip.
