Imagine that. It's exactly what we told the OP.

Yeah, don't you just hate it when That Guy touts his superior credentials and refuses to listen to advice from others who are trying to provide legit discussion? Great stuff, indeed.

Not only that, but as an SE, people who applied for a recent opening I had who listed this atop their resumes were already thrown into the other folder.

Never said it'd be good "atop" a resume.

Either way, B/R's credibility remains questionable enough that it's not worth even sticking in there. I get it.

Yeah, you're lost here. There was no discussion about the program -- which is fairly new -- for several pages. The thread started with a guy who didn't even bother to read that the program is paid.

    Thanks for your riveting input.

Since my last comment clearly sailed way over your head, and since advice from others has gone unheeded by you, let me break it down more simply for you: you started a thread asking about a company that doesn't exactly have a sterling reputation in this industry. When veterans of this industry tried to explain that to you, you immediately became combative, giving the strong impression you weren't here to seek input but to start battles with anyone who didn't tell you how wonderful you are and how you're on the right track. Calling people who don't agree with you jackasses is a prime example of that. You also brag about your (in your eyes) magnificent accomplishments in college and your experience to date, putting yourself on a high horse and refusing to allow any real two-way discussion. Hence, I called you out on your ironic statement. But I will acknowledge your posts have indeed been great stuff. This is one of the more entertaining threads we've had here.
Hopefully you're a little less lost now and hopefully the input was up to your high standards.

To be fair, some "veterans of the industry" jumped to some erroneous conclusions about the program from the beginning, which caused the discussion to be more rancorous than it should have been.

Yea I wrote for B/R. They will screw you over. They don't want original writers they want SEO robots. Once I took that off my resume and got a small newspaper job more and more papers started becoming interested in my work. You would be better off finding an internship at a real newspaper than BR.

Do what you have to do. Bleacher Report is more credible now then when I did my editorial internship a few years back. Any kind of experience is better than none at all. I kept my experience with them on my resume' and it hasn't hurt me at all. The important thing is the experience.

I wouldn't come on here asking for advice because what you get a lot of times is sarcasm and crappy advice. I'm starting to believe a lot of that is done because they are probably applying for the same job. If it's sound advice that's one thing, but most of the advice given is not sound at all, just some dude being an a-hole for the sake of being a a-hole.

List everything you've done on your resume in chronological order. Anybody who would disqualify someone simply for being involved with BR is being stodgy and ridiculous.
