Mass shooting on campus in Oregon

I'm not sure you're wrong, but I don't see how the media can ignore the slaughter of 10 students.

 

They go into these shootings knowing they're going to die because they're fucking suicidal. Bravery's got nothing to do with it.

Really wish you guys would stop ruining this. Forget the dead people. We should be celebrating the fact that an American citizen took advantage of his constitutional right to purchase and use a gun.
I'm sure he only opened fire because those 10 dead college students were trying to tax him without representation and he's a member of the militia.

 

They abso-fucking-lutely are cowards.
Shooting and killing 10 unarmed people is not the act of a brave person. Shooting and killing 10 unsuspecting people who were just trying to get an education is not the act of a brave person.
These cowards--and they ARE cowards--can only commit these actions because they have the element of surprise on their side and they come into an environment where their victims are defenseless and unprepared for such an act and they do it fully loaded because they lack the ability to face their victims one on one in an equatable way.
You got a problem with someone? Tell him or her. Fight them. One on one. Or one on 10 if your problem is against 10 people.
That's a brave way to confrontation.
This is cowardly bullshit done by cowardly people and defended by even more cowardly people as an unpreventable action in defense of an outdated amendment that needed to be repealed 25 years ago.

 

They're cowards because they refuse to accept the consequences of their actions. They know what they're doing is wrong, and choose, for them, the easy way out.

 

Shooter identified as Chris Harper Mercer. If a victim answered he/she was Christian, he shot them in the head; if they answered something else or didn't answer, he shot them in the leg.

From the AP updates:

Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin says he won't be speaking the shooter's name.
"I will not give him the credit he probably sought prior to this horrific and cowardly act," he said.

 

According to this, in a MySpace account, he identified himself as a "conservative Republican" who disliked "organized religion".
