The only way to keep felons from owning guns is to keep everyone from owning them.

 

I'm asking why it is OK to restrict felons from owning guns. It doesn't seem clear to me that it is OK, just as it doesn't seem clear to me that it's OK to bar guns from courthouses and schools.

 

The concern regarding how many people can safely fit in a room have nothing to do with speech. And entry to the room has nothing to do with the views of those allowed in.

 

It is a restriction on my speech rights due to concerns that the exercise thereof may cause an unsafe situation.

 

No silly. We can just stop convicting people of felonies.

 

The same reason it's ok to restrict their right to vote.
