Ben Carson: Bungling Surgeon

Maybe there's a light you could turn on and off to signal whether people should be allowed to read for context.

 

I doubt there is a single candidate who describes himself as pro-abortion, Sunshine.

 

Newspapers executives don't seem to suffer from an overabundance of trailblazing ideas.

 

It's a little different when the candidate espouses a doctrine which identifies YOU (Yes, YOU) as an apostate who must be defeated in the final battle for the righteous to enter paradise. And the quite publicly beloved Pope as the Antichrist.

Since the "devout" Carson has many many times expressed an intention, if elected, to govern according to the precepts of his religion, it ain't too hard to figure out where that's gonna go.

And yeah, there are a hell of a lot of very casual 'cafeteria Catholics' among the 'officially tabulated' church membership, but you'd be amazed how serious a lot of them would get overnight if a national candidate announced an official policy of discrimination/ punitive governance toward Catholics.

Because remember, a lot of those hardcore conservative Catholics ... Own Guns Too!

 

Anti-life?

 

This is where the last couple elections have veered into a scary place for me. This is a step beyond Reagan placating Falwell by making a speech at a prayer breakfast and then going about the actual business of running the country. This is now Goldwater bravado meeting folks who read the Left Behind books like they were instructional manuals.
