Why'd those two guys run right past the stairway in the alley?

And I loved that Talking Dead had to bleep the clip of the studio audience watching that episode. The facial expressions said it all.

"Walking Dead" Showrunner Releases Statement on Major Character's Fate

Showrunner Scott Gimple certainly didn't debunk such speculation. I just don't see how they do it and make it believable.

Glenn is one of my favorite characters, but it would almost be too cheap if he survived. I'm expecting Maggie to be pregnant now, though, because that girl can't catch a break.

yes! thank you!!! glen! glen! glen! that characters name is glen! i don't get this idea that we have to protect people-who apparently don"t have the self discipline to not look- from finding out something in a thread about a tv show.
isn't this where it is suppose to be talked about?
{sorry about my typing, hand issue)

Gotta agree on the spoiler thing. It's not like posting spoilers from the comics for things that haven't happened. This is to discuss the show. If someone comes on here and doesn't know they made it look like Glenn died, they shouldn't be on here.

But I can't see them having Glenn go out in such a vague way. When Glenn dies, we'll know he's dead.

Only in the Walking Dead would lying on the ground and seeminly having your guts ripped out and eaten by hundreds of zombies seem vague.

I agree that there is a potential out for that scene, but would seem out of character for the show to have him survive that situation.

If Glenn isn't dead, I'm going to be pissed. That would be a serious cheat, IMO.

A serious cheat? Out of character for him to survive?
You guys know we're talking about a show that did almost this EXACT thing with Rick in the very first episode of the show correct?
Literally this exact thing. Swarmed by hundreds of walkers. Seemingly has nowhere to go.
My bet? He crawls over and into the dumpster while the walkers are distracted with their lunch. He waits in the dumpster hoping to catch a break. Maggie goes to find him and they somehow get out of the situation.

How was this vague? You see Glen lying on the ground and with his face still in the shot, you see him getting clawed and guts ripped out. Unless they pull some BS that the other dude's body was on top of him and it was his guts we see get ripped out.

My guess is we see Glen as a walker and Maggie finds him.

I'll be disappointed if he's not dead, but people have made some highly improbable recoveries in the past.

It would be in line with the ongoing theme of paying for humane decisions that would be considered "good" in our normal social context.
Glenn didn't kill the guy when he had the chance, and then Glenn went out of his way to give the guy a shot at redemption, possibly putting their mission in jeopardy by making that decision, and now Glenn pays for that choice.

Much like Morgan's refusal to kill, which has now resulted in a handful of Wolves attacking Morgan's allies at least twice so far.

The line between survival and morality is the point of the show. At what point are the people no better than the zombies - that's the ongoing question. That was the line between Shane and Rick and between the Governor and Rick.

Glenn is the last character who has always chosen humanity. This was a great way for him to go.
I'll be sorely disappointed if he's not dead, because that was a fitting death and well played in juxtaposition to the Alexandrian who wanted to see his wife once more before he died.

After the walkers finish off their lunch, I'm not sure if there will be much of Glenn left for Maggie to find. I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up finding his bag of stuff, though.

You saw guts being ripped out. Not necessarily his. Nicholas landing on top of him could account for the gore, even if it's not in a way that satisfies you. And could give him a chance to slide under the car, where he would be stuck until someone comes along.

Have they ever shown a main character die without it being in a very clear, certain way? If it was as clear as you all seem to think it was, shouldn't he have been in the "In Memoriam" stuff on Talking Dead?
