One might even say she was being uppity.

She should have been more articulate.

Well, summary execution certainly seems to be a bit much.....

Are you one of those damn kids that has to pay for everything with a card or, worse, some app when taking out a five dollar bill would take about 1/3 as long?

If you're inferring I'm being racist, Dick, I take great offense to that.

I'd make the same statement if it was a blond haired, blue eyed Beverly Hills girl.

Her complete disrespect for rules and authority started all this--regardless of what race any of the participants are.

Nah. Just not crazy about "bitch" applied to a teen-age girl.

There seems to be some idea that if you defy a police officer, you deserve whatever you have coming to you. People are very averse to the concept of proportionality.

Paying with a card takes, literally, five seconds.

There also seems to be some idea that you can break the rules you choose to and then defy a police officer.

It was more like a suplex. Brock Lesnar would approve.

If that is correct, he is the only one who advocated removing her "any way necessary." Lumping others in with him was a misrepresentation of what I and others have been saying on this thread.

And she wasn't thrown across the room. She was dragged. There is a difference. That is one of my frustrations with the discussion of this issue on and off the site. Far too many people using inaccurate, inflammatory and misleading language to describe the officer's actions.

And I believe it was cranberry who said he was fired for the violence of his actions (I'm paraphrasing). That is not entirely true. He was fired because his actions looked bad on video and at least part of that was the inaccurate descriptions. bigpern, you may realize he didn't flip the desk intentionally, but plenty of people have been insisting that he did do it intentionally. He was trying to get her out of the desk. She made it flip over by resisting.
