S.C. deputy filmed slamming teen girl out of desk, dragging her away

After the chair flipped over, the officer snatched her up and threw her out of the chair like you'd sling a garbage sack into a Dumpster. After that, he drug her away.

Seriously, the leading authority on what is and is not proper procedure for that department looked at the video and fired his deputy. But SJ Authoritarian Nation, which distrusts government power in almost every other area, is convinced that a police officer can never be in the wrong.

I said this earlier about another post, but it's just as true here: That is a crock of shit.

Except that I didn't say the officer was right. You need to do a better job of reading the posts before you argue with them.

And the sheriff has been all over the place in his reaction to this. You seriously think the department procedures were the only thing he took into account when firing the guy? Not his past history? Not the public reaction? Seriously?

But hey, keep using the most inflammatory, inaccurate language you can to characterize his actions and bolster your point rather than trying to look at what happened objectively.

Let's be clear. He did not flip the desk over. He did not pile drive her. He did not body slam her. He did not throw her across the room. He has been accused of all of those things on this thread. Why is that?

    ThomsonONE's quote was as follows:
CJericho liked the post, which to me states some level of support for the message. AQB said that if kids are "going to act like wolves, they should be treated that way." I don't think I'm at all mischaracterizing what they said.

I actually quite specifically did not include you with that group because you clearly do not fall into that camp.

To your other point, no, she was not dragged. She was literally thrown. She was lifted off the ground and tossed several feet, so the language is not inaccurate, nor misleading. It may be inflammatory, but well, it's the truth.

Yeah and the chief not wanting riots or worse to break out figured he looks good if he fires the guy. If you can't see that's how it went down not sure what to tell you.

The girl should have gotten a time-out.

But if she successfully gets through the time-out, she should receive a trophy. You know, for participating.

You're the officer. You tell her to get up and leave the class. She refuses. What do you do?

Was she ever out of his hands? I have to watch again. But to be a throw, she would have to actually leave his hands.

Sorry, that is more of a drag than a throw.

No, he tried to pull her out of the desk and it flipped because she fought him.

The stills you used show his hands on her at all times. If someone or something is thrown, it actually leaves the person's hands.

Watch the video I linked. He definitively throws her.
