It looks bad to me. I can see where if Nicholas fell on top of him, just maybe. But that would entail one serious rescue from somebody and it isn't going to be Rick, who looks like he also needs to be rescued.

Thinking about the episode, there seems to be a theme of Rick's way being the right way.

    1) Don't give people a second chance. We see this possibly costing Glenn his life and we see it with the Wolves that attacked Rick, who were the ones Morgan let go when they attacked Alexandria.

    2) Leave the wounded behind because they'll die any way and only endanger you. Michonne and Glenn decide to stop and try to save the injured Alexandrians against Rick's orders. They die anyhow, and it leads to Nicholas' death and Glenn's possible death and puts the other three who survived in danger.

Just because he was on set doesn't mean his character is still alive. Scott Wilson was back at least once after Herschel was killed off, but just to do a flashback.

Other details make that pretty definitive. I don't want to go into that to ruin it for anyone who didn't look, but I think it's pretty clear.

Not sure what else I missed, but I'm viewing either possibility with a healthy skepticism right now.

Cripes, they couldn't get four words into that story without making a simple spelling mistake.

It would be funny if Abraham was blasting "Thriller" from the car stereo while leading the zombie herd.

Tonight's is shaping up to be an all-time worst episode.

I wouldn't have minded it as part of an episode, but 90 minutes of this after last week? Fuck this.

I really enjoyed this episode. I don't get off on the blood & guts so much but I'm fascinated by how people would deal with this new world. I like to think they wouldn't all become wanton killers and seeing characters struggle with this and choose how much of their humanity they're willing to trade for their continued existence is much more interesting than seeing how grizzly and shocking a death they can create.

I think that is a bit unfair, HC. Your comment dismisses anybody who didn't like this digression as "getting off on the blood and guts," which just isn't true. I don't watch the show for the gore, but I do watch to follow the characters and storyline and this is an annoying place to veer off course for 90 minutes.
